Abstract (EN)
The low amount of usable water makes it necessary to reuse water. That's why we have developed innovative, more effective and cheaper techniques in wastewater treatment and it has become a necessity. Due to the increasing population and developing industry, wastewater with different characteristics is encountered day by day. For this reason, searches continue and researches are carried out for new treatment methods that will meet the need in terms of both cost and lifting efficiency. In this study, electrocoagulation, which is one of the advanced treatment techniques and has a very low cost compared to other alternative technologies in recent years, has been examined compared to other treatment methods. The basic mechanism of treatment with electrocoagulation method, its advantages and disadvantages compared to other treatment methods, important working parameters and the reasons for choosing electrocoagulation were examined.
