Abstract (EN)
Today, water resources are increasingly depleted due to various reasons such as industrialization, global warming, drought and rapidly increasing population denstiy. Water, which is indispensable for our daily life, also plays an important and great role in the production phase of almost all of the industrial areas in the world and in our country. In order to prevent the reduction of water resources under the relevant laws and regulations of the states, it is aimed to establish and operate wastewater treatment plants in municipalities, industrial zones and related industrial institutions and thus aiming to reuse the treated water. In recent years in Turkey, the number of domestic and/or industrial wastewater treatment plants in cities, industrial zones and related industrial organizations continues to increase rapidly. Depending on the increasing industrialization, the issue of occupational health and safety has also become important. In order to prevent occupational accidents, occupational diseases and deaths in factory, plant and office environments, necessary studies are carried out by the public and private sectors on occupational health and safety. Wastewater treatment plants are also risky places where occupational accidents and various diseases can occur due to their working conditions and environment. In this study, the implementation of occupational health and safety studies in wastewater treatment plants, whose importance is increasing due to the decrease in water resources, has been investigated, work accidents occuring in wastewater treatment plants in the world and in our country have been investigated and risk analysis study of a wastewater treatment plant of a private company has been conducted.
