Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of antibacterial soaps on Staphylococcus sp. which were isolated from human skin flora and to determinate the relationship between these effects and plasmid activities. In this study, two different antibacterial soaps (A and B) which included antibacterial agent and a normal soap (C) which not included antibacterial agent were used to determine the antibacterial activity and to investigate if there was any relationship between antibacterial activity and plasmid activity. The isolated bacteria strains were exposed to 10% and 30% soap solutions for 2 and 5 minutes and then, these bacteria spread on petri dishes and their number were determined by colony forming unit. The test results showed that, at the tests which the bacteria were exposed to 10% of soap A and soap B and soap C for 2 and 5 minutes, there were no significant effects on decreasing of bacterial population, but only one strain was eliminated. Exposing with 30% of soap A and B for 5 minutes, eliminated 7 of 12 bacterial strains. On the other hand, exposing for 2 minutes, only 1 bacteria was found to be growed already at the high diluent. Finally, the results indicated that there was not any relationship between these bacteria?s resistance to antibacterial soaps and their plasmids.
