Abstract (EN)

Diamine derivatives are very important compounds in many biologically active molecules. They are not only significant motifs in natural products, but also have various useful applications in asymmetric catalysis, supramolecular chemistry and medicinal chemistry. For example, studies on various platinum 1,2-diamino complexes used in chemotherapy in recent years have shown that they have lower toxicity than cis-platinum compounds, and their use as antitumor agents instead of these compounds is being evaluated to reduce drug resistance. The pseudohalide ligand dicyanamide (dca) has been widely used as a building block in supramolecular chemistry and crystal engineering. Since dca has three potential nitrogen donor sites, it can coordinate metal ions in various ways which allows the preparation of compounds with various architectures such as mononuclear, polynuclear, as well as 1D, 2D and 3D (D: Dimensional) networks: In this Master's thesis, synthesis and characterization studies of Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes containing diamine derivative ligands (1,3-diaminopropane (DAP), 2,2'-dimethyl-1,3-propandiamine (DAP-DM), 2-hydroxy-1,3-propandiamine (DAP-OH)) and dicyanamide (dca) ligand as co-ligand were carried out. [Cu2(CH3COO)(DAP-OH)(dca)2]n, [Ni(DAP)2(dca)2] ve [Ni(DAP-DM)2(dca)2] complexes were obtained as single crystals and their structures were characterized with single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis
