Abstract (EN)

In this study, the rheological and mechanical properties of EPDM rubber at different ENB ratios and OBSH phr's were investigated. For this purpose, a total of 26 different formulations of EPDM rubber in two different ENB ratios and thirteen different OBSH phr's were prepared and analyzed after vulcanization. Rheometer analysis results showed that the MH value decreased with the increase of ENB and OBSH phr ratio. The ML value decreased as the ENB ratio increased in EPDM rubbers, regardless of the phr of the OBSH blowing agent. TS2 and T90 values decreased with increasing ENB ratio, but increased with increasing OBSH blowing agent. It has been observed that the tensile strength is directly dependent on the OBSH chemical, independent of the ENB ratio in EPDM rubbers. The percent elongation at break decreased as the ENB ratio increased in EPDM rubbers, but increased as the OBSH phr increased. The stiffness, on the other hand, decreased with increasing phr of OBSH blowing agent of EPDM rubber with both low and high ENB content. As a result of the viscosimetric analysis, it was observed that the Mooney viscosity of the mixture formed increased as the ENB ratio and the amount of OBSH blowing agent in the EPDM rubber increased. Permanent crush decreased as the ENB ratio increased, but increased as OBSH phr increased. It was observed that the volume change decreased as the ENB ratio increased, but increased as the OBSH amount increased. It was observed that the density variation increased as the ENB ratio increased with the effect of the OBSH blowing agent at different phr of EPDM rubber at different ENB ratios, but decreased as the OBSH amount increased.
