Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is comparing the physical fitness values of mentally handicapped and hearing impaired students in normal development in different age groups according to age and sex. 211 students in normal developmet (130 boys-81 girls), 80 mentally handicapped students(45 boys-35 girls), 80 hearing impaired students(43 boys-37 girls) in 9-14 age group; totally 371 students (194 boys-139 girls ) has joined for this research. By doing brockport physical fitness test battery to mentally handicapped and hearing impaired students joining this research in normal development; body composition, strength and flexibility parameters of students has been examined. In this research, by using statistical analysis and SPSS ve Excel (Analyes Tool Pack) package programme, in age groups, in comparing of different groups Kruskal-Wallis test, in follow up test carried out, to determine the being difference between in which groups Bonferonni correction Mann Whitney-U test, in comparings sex, groups Mann Whitney-U test has done by dividing the groups according to age. As a result of investigation according to the physical compliance levels and a comparison of men in different age groups; highly differences have been found in body composition, strength and flexibility level parameters in different categories. When sex differences has been compared by dividing the groups according to age groups and examined physical compliance levels; highly differences have been found in body composition, strength and flexibility level parameters in different categories. As a result; it is found that physical fitness levels of disabled students were significantly higher than their peer with normal development. As a resultof this, it is seen that physical activites play a significant role in disabled students schools and physical activity programs improve disabled students more in positive way than students grawing normally.
