Abstract (EN)

The institution that undertakes the production of topographic maps of scales outside the large scale in within the country is the General Directorate of Maps. In this context, vector data used in the production of topographic maps are collected as a result of flights within the borders of the country and land integration. It is not possible to make flights and integrations outside the borders of the country. Therefore, collection of vector data becomes impossible. For these cases, an organization has been registered, but the data of each desired region cannot be accessed. In order to solve this problem, the data of the desired region should be obtained from the data pool consisting of open source data. Since the received data cannot be used as it is, it must be converted into a cartographic data structure. With an algorithm to be developed in this study, topographic map production was provided by using data obtained from open sources for regions where vector data is not available. With this algorithm, it is aimed to prevent both time and labor loss and to be used as an auxiliary source in studies for the production of cartographic data in the future.
