Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between reactive agility and vertical jump performance and competition performance of basketball players at different levels and positions. Methods: A total of 77 athletes, 20 from the BSL, 22 from the TBL, and 35 from the BGL, participated in the study. A Tanita brand bioelectrical impedance analysis device was used to determine the body fat percentage of the athletes. The RC test was performed by using a SmartSpeed (Fusion Sport, Australia) illuminated, wireless photocell system. CMJ test and SJ test were also applied using the SmartSpeed (Fusion Sport, Australia) brand force platform. The competition statistics of the athletes were processed by tracking and anonymizing the TBF official online system. Results: In all players, TBL players, all play makers and all forwards, statistical significance was found between the RC test and the games played statistics. A statistically significant difference was found between the CMJ test and the block statistics in BSL forwards. A statistically significant difference was found between CMJ statistics and minutes played statistics in all pivots, between CMJ test and assists statistics in BSL pivots, between SJ test and games played statistics, and again between SJ test and PIR statistics. No statistical significance was found in other measured parameters. Conclusion: It was observed that good vertical jumping skill had a statistically positive effect on the game in BSL forwards and all center categories. According to the results of our study, it can be said that the vertical jump heights and RC skills of the players do not correspond in some cases in the competition statistics.
