Abstract (EN)

In this research, non-reinforced, 3% and 5% nano-sized (3nm) graphene reinforced FeCo alloy was produced by powder metallurgy and TIG melting methods, and the coating was made using the pack aluminum method at 900 ˚C for 4 hours. In both production methods, the productions were carried out in a shielding gas (Argon) atmosphere. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and microhardness measurements were used in characterization processes. Samples produced by both methods have a face-centered cubic (FCC) single-phase crystal structure. There are CoFe, CoFe2O4, FeO, Fe3O4 phases on the produced sample surfaces. Co7Fe3Al10, Co2Al5, FeCoAl, FeAl, Fe2Al5, Al2O3 phases were detected on the coated sample surfaces. The coating layer thicknesses were obtained between 86 µm and 132 µm with the coating made by using the pack aluminizing method. With the coating, it was determined that the surface hardness of the samples increased by more than 2 times.
