Examination of sportmanship levels of inviduals who are engaged in diffirent sports branches

The purpose of this research to deal with the fair play level of individuals who engage in different branches of sports. Sportsmen whose ages over 15 from diffrent branches of sports in Karaman, Adana, Çorum, Yozgat, Kırşehir have attended to this work group. Participants were required to apply multiple sportmanship scales as to variability according to characteristics of branches, age, gander, home city, sport duration, level of education. The importance of the research is to determine the level of sportsmanship, which is a disciplined and stable manner of behavior, in each branch, rather than obeying the rules of the game in a sports competition by preventing the occurrence of violent and aggressive factors such as competition, which have great effects on individuals and societies. The importance of this research determine the each levels of sportmanship. Qualitative research method were used for data analysis. Violence and agression which are unsportsmanlike conduct are disscussed for the topic of analysis. Moreover, as the criteria for determining the level of sportsmanship; respect, tolerance and strenght of empathy are dealt with. s a result of statistical analysis of whether there is a significant difference between the gender variable and sportsmanship sub-dimensions, branch variable and sportsmanship sub-dimensions and education levels and sportsmanship sub-dimensions of the athletes participating in the research, compliance with social norms, respect to rules and management and respect to competitors and sub-dimensions of women and There was a significant difference between male sexes. (P <0.05). Although there isn't a significant difference in other variables, sportmanships' level of sportmen living in Kırşehir are superior. Finally, we have encountered educational factor in two different ways. First, the graduates of those individuals who had graduated from high school is sporty than the individual and the elementary school in the education sector, middle and high school levels continuously Turkey degree in located Kırşehir living in athletes' sportsmanship levels of other provinces by high levels of education of the sport of fair play on the other the whole life cycle in It is seen to be an important factor as effective. Within this context, the reasons of educational differences in branches should be searched and precautions must be taken, also the reasons of differences in sportsmanship level as to genders should be searched and studied.
