Prof. Dr. Faruk KARADAĞScattering problem from a cylinder is a canonical problem. Scattering fromthe canonical structures can be used for the modeling of scattering from much morecomplex geometries. In this work, an infinite length inhomogeneous cylinder isselected as the canonical structure and plane wave is assumed as the source. Thesolution of the problem was accomplished by using a numerical method called FiniteDifference Time Domain (FDTD). After evaluating the scattered field in the spacewhich is designated for the selected cylindrical structure, the perfect matched layer(PML) boundary condition was used for obtaining the field expressions outside thisspace.Key Words: FDTD, Numeric, Cylinder, ScatteringIPDF created with pdfFactory Pro trial version www.pdffactory.com
