Investigation of prospective science teachers' ethical approach towards environment with attitudes towards sustainable environment

The main aim of this study is to determine moral approaches of science teacher candidates and degrees of their attitudes towards sustainable environment, to examine from the point of their demographic characteristics an to determine the connection between the moral approaches of science teacher candidates and their attitudes towards sustainable environment. 1438 teacher candidates who receives education in the departmant of science teacher training faculty in universities of Aegan Reigion in 2014-2015 academie year create the working team of investigation. With the porpuse of accumulating the dates, " to Ecocentric, Anthropocentric and Antipathetic Attitudes towards Environment", "Sustainable Environment Attitude Scale" and "Personel Information Form" had been implemented to the science teacher candidates. In analysing data, Kruskal Wallis H-test, Mann Whitney U-test and Correlation analyze were performed with descriptive statistical methods (Frequency, Percent, Average, Standard Deviation). According to the results of research, it has been detected that ecocentric and anthropocentric approaches of theirs are above the average, antipathetic approaches of theirs are below the average. As for sustainable attitude towards environment, it is above the average. It has been reached that ecocentric, anthropocentric and antipathetic attitudes towards environment and sustainable environment attitude show a suggestive difference according to gender, grade level, taking environmental science lessons, being informed about environment, being a member of any environment organization factors. It's been detected that between ecocentric and anthropocentric attitudes and sustainable environment attitude, there is positive connection. Between and their antipathetic attitude and sustainable environment attitude, there is negative connection.
