Abstract (EN)

This study measured science teachers' personality types using the Holland Personality Scale and examined the relationships between these personality types and demographic characteristics. A survey design was employed in the study. A total of 58 science teachers, 43 female and 15 male, working in schools in the Bingöl province participated in the study. A personal information form and the Holland Personality Scale were used in the data collection process. SPSS 25.0 was used in the data analysis. Independent Samples T-test, One-Way ANOVA Analysis, and Pearson Correlation Analysis were used in the analysis. According to Holland's theory of occupational personality, there are six distinct personality types based on people's interests and professional preferences: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Entrepreneurial, and Traditional. Teachers generally tend to be more inquisitive, social, and realistic. While gender was found to have no significant effect on personality types, factors such as education level, age, and professional experience significantly influence personality types. Furthermore, significant relationships exist among personality types. A significant difference was found between the Entrepreneurial and Traditional personality types, and the Artist and Social personality types. Consequently, it is emphasized that demographic variables play a decisive role in teachers' personality profiles and that this should be taken into account in education and career development.
