Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine technological pedagogic content knowledge and technological pedagogic content knowledge self-confidence levels of science teachers in Manisa and to examine whether it shows differences or not according to some factors. 332 science teachers who are working in Manisa contributed to this study in 2013-2014 educational year. "Personal Information Form", "Technological Pedagogic Content Knowledge Scale", "Technological Pedagogic Content Knowledge Self-Confidence Scale" and "Feedback Form" were used as data collecting tools. In the analysis of data; frequency and percentage values, unrelated t-test, single-factor variance analysis, Mann- Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H test, Scheffe, LCD and Dunnett's C multiple comparison tests were used. According to the research results, it is detected that science teachers are good at all the subscales of technological pedagogical content knowledge scale. In technological pedagogical content knowledge self confidence scale, it is determined that technological pedagogical content knowledge, technological pedagogical knowledge and technological knowledge subscales are on the high level but technological content knowledge subscale is on the mid-level. Moreover, in all the subscales of technological pedagogical content knowledge and self confidence scale, it is detected that male teachers' average scores are higher than female teachers and the teachers who have computer get higher average scores than who don't. In addition to this, there are differences in science teachers' technological pedagogical content knowledge and self confidence level as to gender (in favor of male teachers), graduate program (in favor of science teaching department graduate), seniority (in favor of the teacher who work 6-10 years), computer ownership (in favor of the teachers who have computer) and daily average computer usage duration (in favor of the teachers who use the computer more than 4 hours a day).
