Abstract (EN)
When the subjects reinforcement in learning environment, development on pedagogical applications in the classroom, icrease in student?s learning and teacher?s functionality in instructing the educational process are taken into consideration, it is understood that the hybrid in learning and teaching process is getting faster. Learning Teaching proces includes different dynamics and it should be analyzed in right perspective. Especially for the students of Primary Education science and maths definitions should be given by modelling method, it souldn?t be taught izoleted from other disciplines. Otherwise,students will have difficulty in learning. Maths is a system, a language human being configured from symbols and patterns to comprehend the geograpy he has lived in. In science ,which uses maths as the language the situation is same. In Primary Education; aim of coordination of maths, science and technology lessons is to emphasize that these disciplines are not isoleted from each other .They are complementary to each other. This situation results in the fact that complementery concepts should be taught together. Aim of this reserch is to compose a hybr'd in teaching science and maths subject together and evaluate the students according to traditional education methods. In this research, pre-test, post-test, experimental research model controlling group were used. In the experimental research group hybrid science and math learning method; 'n control group traditional teaching methods are used. This research was done with 62 students in Kayseri-Melikgazi Hayriye Dabano/lu Primary School in 2006-2007 Educational Year. In the research quantitative and qualitative researc approach is adopted. Data of the research was gathered together with hybrid science and maths success test, hybrid science and maths attitude scale. ii Besides; semi configured interview forms were used to measure students attitude towards hybrid science and maths learning methods and their point of view about studying lessons with hybrid science and maths learning methods. In analysis of quantitative data of research arithmetic average, standard deviation, variance analysis, t-test, square test were used. Interview records were coded according to categories, and frequency percent was analyzed. As a result of this research; 1-Hybrid science and maths teaching methods are much more effective in increasing students? success than traditionteaching methods. 2-In the lessons studied with hybrid science and maths teaching method, students? approach towards science and maths is increasing positively. 3-Experimental group which was educated by hybrid science and maths teaching method differs in a positive way from control group which was educated by traditional methods. 4-Students told that hybrid science and math teaching methods simplify lerning, enable students to be more active; and teach sharing, working in group, cooperative effort.
