The effects of project based learning approach at science teaching for primary education 7th class students science success and behaviour

Project Based Learning is a suitable method for acquiring students to reach the information for today?s people, analyze the information, select and organize the useful information, make team work and work in cooperation qualities. İn this study the effect of educations process arranged in line with ?Project Based Learning ? and education procces arranged and performed according to conventional methods for global warming subject in Science and Tecnology lesson on acedemic success and the attitudes against science lesson of students who are in primary school in 7th Class are examined. In the study, performed with pro-test/ final test with group and experimental searching model, the effects of Project Based Learning on student?s succes and their attitudes are searched. Success test and Attitude Scales are applied on the experiment and control groups. The findings gained at the end of the study have been transferred in the SPSS 15.0 program and its results are commented. Furthermore, student observation form, self evaluation form, self considering form and project presentation evaluation forms are applied on the students attended in the experiment group, and qualitative data collection medium are used as well. At the and of the study, a favorable and expressive difference was found among students who were applied Project Based Learning in Science and Tecnology lesson in 7th Class in regards of acedemic success and attitudes against the lesson. Besides, the students who attended in the experiment group stated that the Project Based Learning increases student?s success, favorable attitudes against lesson, active participation, creaativitiy and cooperation, made the education more meaningful, and acquired them various abilities, and though there were few problems.
