Abstract (EN)

The purposes of this study are to examine the dynamic compensation used to compensate reactive power consumption for fast changing loads, to explain advantages with two modeling and compare the results with the model set on computer program. This study also determines the harmful effect of harmonics on electric facilities and decreases these effects by filter method. According to the first clause of dated 06.20.2007 with number 26558 regulation in accordance with electric market customer service, enterprises has current power more than or equal to 50 kVA must pay reactive energy fee in the case that they consume the inductive reactive energy more than 20% of pullet active energy or give to the system capacitive reactive energy more than 15% of active energy. Electromechanical switches are commonly used for supporting sufficient reactive energy in compensation systems. These conventional compensation systems called static compensation are unable to cope with rapid loads due to the fact that their slow reaction time and limited switching operations. To overcome this problem, dynamic compensation systems are designed and by means of these systems, reactive energy necessities are determined in real time and compansated very fast with decreasing the harmful effect of harmonics of the system.
