Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to present the text of the fourth volume of Firdevsi-i Rumi's Tecnisat-ı Süleyman u Belkıs-name and to analyze the work in terms of its form and content. For this purpose, the first section of the study first discusses Firdevsi-i Rumi, his life, and his literary personality. Then, the work is evaluated as a whole with all its volumes, followed by a focus on the fourth volume, discussing its structural and content-related features and providing information about the sections that comprise it. The second part, which presents a detailed content analysis of the work, consists of two subsections in which a broad summary of the work is given and it is discussed from a fictional perspective. In the third part of the study, a detailed examination of the work in terms of its form is made. After mentioning the description of the manuscript and its orthographic features, the art of pun (cinas) used in the work is introduced, and then these arts are exemplified with couplets taken from the text. Following the art of pun, the method followed in the text determination is discussed, and the transcription alphabet is presented in a table. After the fourth part, where the transcribed text of the work is included, the fifth part contains a dictionary of puns, which explains the puns in the text and shows in which couplets they appear. In this section, firstly, the method followed in the preparation of the dictionary of puns is discussed; after providing the dictionary of puns, a list of couplets that could not be included in the dictionary of puns for various reasons is presented.
