The developments of the attitudes of high school students who have taken part in the studies of physics project for the physics lesson

The purpose of this study is to research the developments of the attitudes of the students who have taken part in the studies of physics project for the physics lesson on the basic methods of qualitative study. The study has been carried out with the 9th, 10th, 11th grade students of a private school, run by the Ministry of National Education, at Altındağ in Ankara. In this study, physics projects based on the projectized education have been produced within eight months. In the study interms of qualitative studies triunglation method was used.A suitable working field was created with students and both individual-environment observations performed. In the study attended and unattended observation was performed. Before the physics project study, attitude scale for physics lesson as a pretest has been applied to the students. After applications of the test, at the end of the process, before group-focus meeting under camera recording the same test has been applied again. The obtained data from the attitude survey for physics lesson has been explained with the program of SPSS data analysis. In the middle of the project study, a hand written interview-form which contain qualitative study based, semi structural and open ended questions has been applied to the students. At the end of project study, a group-focus meeting through camera recording, semi structural, open ended questions has been made. During the study process observed cases were evaluated .The data obtained from the study has been examined through content analysis and descriptive analysis.At the end of the study, it is observed that the physics project studies affect the attitudes of the students for physics lesson in a positive way.
