Abstract (EN)

In this study any arbitrary shaped, simple and complex geometrical objects Radar Cross Section (RCS) is calculated by using the physical optics (PO) method in MATLAB. The calculations have been made for monostatic case in which the radars? receiver and transmitter antennas are the same or different but placed side by side. Throughout the thesis the effect of the diffused scattering component of rough surface is not taken into account.First we started with the modelling of simple shaped objects like plate, box then continued with complex geometrical objects like UAV, F-16, X-29 and then last but not least we calculated the RCS of all these objects and received the RCS to angle graphs by using MATLAB.By using physical optics method to obtain the total scattered field received at the receiver part of the radar, the body of the target is seperated into number of facets, then all these facets scattered field components are super imposed.Key Words : Radar, radar cross section (RCS), high frequency methods, physical optics (PO), monostatic
