Abstract (EN)

In this study, the inhibition effects of Folium Theae ( FT )on the corrosionbehaviour of Hg steel electrode was investigated in chloride and sulphate [ HCl,NaCl ( pH ≈ 6 ), H2SO4 ve Na2SO4 ( pH ≈ 6) ] at different pH and differentquantities ( 0, 125 ml, 250 ml ). The corrosion potentials of Hg steel electrode weredetermined and the current-potential curves, Nyquist diyagrams of the Hg steelelectrode were obtained in conditions of containing and non-containing FoliumTheae in chloride and sulphate solutions. The three-electrode tecnique was used forthe all experiments. All the experiments were done under the room conditions.Folium Theae exhibits an inhibition effect in chloride and sulphate solutions.Key Words: Folium Theae, Hg SteelII
