Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to design the most suitable electrode for the oxidation of organic matter in wastewater by photochemical and electrochemical methods. For this purpose, suitable anodization conditions were investigated for the synthesis of Nanoporous alumina (NPA) with the ideal hexagonal structure on the aluminum plate by anodization technique. The effect of various anodization electrolytes and times on the development of NPA electrodes was investigated using FE-SEM technique. In addition, the wettability, thermal stability and mechanical properties of NPA were investigated by contact angle, microhardness, and thermogravimetric TGA / DTA analysis techniques, respectively. The NPA electrodes formed under optimum conditions were prepared using different coating methods with SnO2 and InSnO2 semiconductors. The photochemical oxidation of methyl orange (MO) with NPA-SnO2 and NPA-InSnO2 photocatalysts was performed under UV light. The effects of initial dye concentration, pH, temperature and reusability parameters were monitored. As a result of the kinetic analysis of experimental data, thermodynamic parameters such as Ea, ΔH, ΔS, and EG were calculated. As a result, it was determined that MO% was obtained in the presence of the highest removal efficiency of NPA-InSnO2. The electrochemical oxidation process was performed by applying different potentials (0.5-1V) in 20 mg / L MO + 0.1 M NaCl with NPA-InSnO2 photocatalyst. The most suitable potential value for electrode is 0.5 V.
