Evaluation of the historical process of French's urban green areas in terms of landscape architecture

The existence of green areas in rural or urban areas not only increases the aesthetics and quality, but also provides its relationship for both people and the environment. To show this, the advantage of urban open green areas is shown by taking examples from some cities of France. Human beings' first settlements are undoubtedly surrounded by rural green areas. The housing construction for housing within the rural landscape has turned into an urbanization phenomenon in time, and has invaded wide geographies. At the end of the urbanization process, where there are no or not enough green areas, human beings have understood that green areas are an indispensable part of their life. Green areas have begun to be established in urban settlements with different purposes and forms, and the process has changed from country to country. In this study, the existence of France's urban open green areas was examined in the historical process. It has been observed that France began to develop green spaces a lot with the industrial revolution and continue to appear in different types constantly. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the history of France's open green spaces and determine the uses for parks, gardens and functional purposes. On the other hand, the plant, fauna and flora of the urban green areas of France, which is the subject of the research, were determined. In addition, as in every country, France has a typology of urban open green spaces. In this study, the most used typologies in the country are examined.
