ABSTRACTOĞUZHAN ALTUNGÜLSTRESS LEVEL DETERMINATION UNDER THE LIGHT OF PERSONALCHARECTERISTICS OF THE PEOPLE AT FOOTBALL ACTIVITIESThe objective of the study is to determine the stres level determination under the lightof personal charecteristics of the people at football activities.Research group was randomly composed of 150 amateur football players in secondamateur league and 150 person who performed their football activity in synthetic courts asasubscriber in Elazığ city centre.Questionaries are constitued of the questions that the accuracy were tested by theresearchers at the studies before that one. `Chararacteristic property recognition test, stresslevel test and stress test? were used as scales in view of the fact that demographical properties.Obtained data were evaluated by using `Corelation Technique ` on SPSS 11 Windowssoftware. Percantage, frequency and corelation were calculated to determine the relationshipof the study subjects personal charecteristics with stress level and they were divided intogroups as amateurs and players at synthetic courts.To examine the relation between variables ?Crosstabs?, ?Pearson Chi-Square?,?Pearson Correlation? tests were used.. Independet groups T Test used forcomparison of arithmathical median personal properties.According to the relation of the personal charecteristics with stress test of studysubjects;. person with type A character were more stressfull than type B character person.According to the stress level test; type A character were found to be `closer to stres? than typeB character who were `away from stress?According to their activity fields stres tests were resulted as; players at synthetic courtwere more stressful than amateurs Stress level tests showed that synthetic court players werefound to be `closer to stress?; and also amatuers were `away from stress?.As a conclusion, football players showed no differences at their stress level accordingto their football activity field however meaningful differences obtained according theirpersonal type with t Test (p<0.05).Football players with type A character found to be more stressfull than the ones withtype B character. It may be cıncluded that players at synthetic court were partially morestressed than amateurs when the field of football activities were assessed.Key Words: Sports, Football, Personality, Stress
