Abstract (EN)
This study consists of three chapters. The first chapter is introduction chapter. In this chapter historical developments of Tauberian theory, the concept of statistical convergence and fuzzy set theory are mentioned. In the second chapter, basic definitions and theorems related to concepts of statistical convergence, fuzzy numbers and fuzzy positive linear operators are given. In the third chapter, original results of this thesis are given. In this chapter the concept of statistical summability (N,p) of sequences of fuzzy numbers has been introduced and Tauberian conditions under which statistical convergence of a sequence of fuzzy numbers follows from its statistical summability (N,p) are presented. Furthermore, we prove a Korovkin type approximation theorem for fuzzy positive linear operators by using the notion of statistical summability (N,p).
