Abstract (EN)
Gas turbine engines are thermal energy conversion systems based on the principle of compressing, heating, mixing with fuel, and ultimately expanding high-pressure gas on a turbine. These engines are commonly used in aircraft, power plants, and industrial applications. However, to test and optimize the performance of the engine, an appropriate test infrastructure system is required. The test infrastructure systems for gas turbine engines are designed to assess how the engine performs under various operating conditions. These systems are utilized to determine how the engine responds to various load and speed conditions, as well as to evaluate its efficiency and durability. Test infrastructure systems typically include components such as dynamometers, data acquisition systems, lubrication systems, fuel systems, motor starting systems, and control communication infrastructure. Dynamometers evaluate performance by measuring the torque and power produced by the engine. Data acquisition systems provide data for analysis by monitoring various parameters of the engine. Fuel and lubrication systems supply the required fuel and oil to the engine. Motor starting systems are essential for rotating the engine at a speed necessary for the initial mixing of fuel with air in the combustion system. The communication and control infrastructure enables interaction among test systems and with the HMI interface in the control room. These test infrastructure systems play a crucial role in providing significant data input to engine manufacturers, designers, and maintenance experts, aiming to enhance the reliability, optimize efficiency, and evaluate the performance of the engines.
