Abstract (EN)

This study emphasizes the importance of energy with an overview of the entire food sector. Energy efficiencies related to thermodynamic laws are investigatedfor the food sector. Energy efficiency and energy management are discussed taking the sugar sector as an example. For this reason the Cumra Sugar integratedfactoryin Konya, one of the Turkey's largest companies, was taken into account to perform the energy and exergy analyzes are realized. Energy and exergy analyzes of all the processes in the plant. In addition, the energy performance analysis of the factory is determined for the energy managementbetween the years 2008 and 2011 purposes. In the light of these studies, different system scenarios are carried out to improve energy consumption quantity. According to the results of these scenarios thermoeconomic analyzes are applied. SPSS statistical method was utilized in these studies to present the results. As a result, it is concluded that using the results of thermoeconomic analysis based on the plant energy ? exergy analysis, the profits of the factory would be improved.
