The newspaper of Gıdık is a Turkish humor newspaper in Arabic letters that had started to issue the date of 3 November 1910 and the publication livedto the date of 10 October 1912. In this newspaper, besides the texts in which current news evaluated in humorous way, literary texts like poem, story and novel had been included. In the newspaper of Gıdık which had worked with the journalists like Refi Cevat and Ahmet Rasim, also had served numerous and important authors and caricaturists like Mahmut Yesari, Server İskit, Cemil Cem, Mehmet Sıtkı. In this article the newspaper of Gıdık is studied in five sections. After given the some information about the press and humor in the Ottoman Empire in the first section; in second section the newspaper of Gıdık has been analyzed as form and content. In the third section an index for the writers has been created. In this section, also an index for the literary types which includes short summaries of all texts in the newspaper has been created. In the fourth section some texts which chosen from the newspaper have been transliterated to the Latin letters. And in the consequence section which is the last section, a general assessment has been done about the characteristic, the significance and the content of the newspaper.
