Abstract (EN)

Banking is one of the most sensitive sectors in recent years. In particular, the demand for digital channels along with the increase in the number of internet users in Turkey and have increased. With these investments, classical banking has started to be replaced by digital channels. With the decrease in the number of branches, the decrease in the need for manpower and the increasing demands, the digitalization of the sector has begun to be debated. In this study, the most preferred channel of digital fields was examined according to mobile banking years. The productivity of mobile banking between the years of 2007-2018 was determined by data envelopment analysis according to the number of customers, financial and non-financial transactions. The impact of the increase in the use of mobile banking on the economic recession was revealed. As a result of the study, while the deposit banks only continued to operate productivity in 2013 between 2011 and 2018, the year 2012 was the lowest. On the other hand, while the mobile banking way provided the conditions of productivity in 2011, 2017 and 2018, 2013 was the year when the productivity was the lowest draw attention.
