Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of life kinetic training on reaction time and attention levels in young goalkeepers. Material and Method: The study was conducted with 22 amateur goalkeepers aged 14-17 actively playing football in the Ordu province. Body weight measurements were taken using a bioimpedance body analysis device, and height measurements were conducted using a stadiometer. Auditory and visual reaction time tests were performed using the Moart reaction time measurement device. For attention tests, the d2 attention test was applied. The statistical analysis of the data obtained in the study was conducted using the SPSS 21.0 statistical package program. The normal distribution of the data was examined using the Shapiro-Wilk Test. To investigate the impact of applied training on reaction time and attention level, a two-way ANOVA (Mixed ANOVA) test was used for mixed measurements. A significance level of p<0.05 was accepted. Results: When the results were examined, no statistically significant difference was observed in terms of group and time main effects and group x time interaction effects in both dominant and non-dominant visual reaction values (p>0.05). In dominant and non-dominant auditory reaction results, no significant difference was found based on group and time main effects (p>0.05). However, a statistically significant difference was detected in favor of the experimental group in terms of group x time interaction effect (p<0.05). Looking at the results of the D2 attention test, no significant difference was observed in terms of group x time interaction effect (p>0.05), but a significant difference was found in favor of the experimental group based on the time main effect (p<0.05). Conclusions: In conclusion, it can be stated that eight weeks of life kinetic training may contribute to the improvement of goalkeepers' auditory reaction, attention, and concentration performance.
