Abstract (EN)
The Earth's climate has undergone variations throughout its history. In recent times, the influence of human activities linked to economic development has brought attention to the dynamic nature of climate change, emerging as a prominent research focus. Global climate change has exerted substantial impacts on social, economic, cultural, and political domains, prompting the need for comprehensive evaluation across diverse areas of expertise. Agricultural practices have particularly felt the consequences of global climate change, with hazelnut cultivation being significantly affected. Hazelnuts, the second most commonly cultivated hard-shelled fruit globally, hold a crucial position in agriculture. Turkey, a leading hazelnut producer, contributes to 75% of the world's production and dominates 70-75% of global hazelnut exports. This study delves into the repercussions of global climate change on hazelnut agriculture, aiming to explore solution-oriented approaches to address these effects. A noteworthy global consequence of climate change is the growing inclination towards renewable energy sources. Through the compilation method, this research examined the impacts of climate change on hazelnut agriculture and sought answers to how these effects could be mitigated through the utilization of renewable energy sources. The gathered data led to the formulation of recommendations for potential solutions.
