Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine whether young adult individuals' self-efficacy and emotion regulation skills are significant predictors of social anxiety. This research is a descriptive study, and the relational screening model, one of the general screening models, was used to predict the social anxiety levels of individuals in young adulthood. 304 individuals between the ages of 18-25 participated in the research. Within the scope of the research, a personal information form created by the researcher was used to access the demographic information of individuals. Additionally, "Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale", "General Self-Efficacy Scale", and "Emotion Regulation Difficulty-Short Form" were used. As a result of the research, it was seen that emotion regulation difficulty, self-efficacy total, self-efficacy persistence and self-efficacy persistence sub-dimensions predicted the level of social anxiety. Difficulty in emotion regulation and self-efficacy resilience sub-dimensions were significant predictors of social anxiety; It was observed that the self-efficacy total and self-efficacy persistence sub-dimensions did not have a significant effect.
