DESIGN AND APLICATION OF A GENERAL PURPOSE DATAACQUISITION CARD(M.Sc. Thesis)Erhan UYTUNGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYJuly 2006ABSTRACTThis thesis is focused on rapidly developing biomedical-clinics engineeringand industrial automation technological research and education and isexpected to profit the fields in various ways. During the last years, industrialcomputer input/output interface products have become much more secureand user friendly. These products are mostly used in imaging, timelychecking, information gathering, and automatic testing of industrial controland laboratory implementations. With the data acquisition and controlsystem developed load cell signals processed and amplified to usable levels.Any kind of position information generated using a rotary encoder. Apartfrom this, this system is capable of controlling four digital input outputtransactions simultaneously. Compiled and generated data?s are sent tocomputers which support Modbus protocol through a serial port. Thissystem can be used by industries requiring power/mass, angular/linearchange and digital input output necessities for performing differentimplementations at a lower cost and secured way in the fields of biomedical, industrial production, automotive, warehousing and building automation.Science Code :705.3.014Key Words :Veri toplama ve kontrol, RTU, Yük hücresi, Mil kodlayıcıPage Number : 135Adviser : Yrd.
