Abstract (EN)
Statistical methods are needed to evaluate research results in almost every field of science. Because in most of the scientific research, the greater the probability of drawing a random sample from a hypothetical population, the possibility that our research material represent that population is greater. In genetic research also, there are analyzes that require the use of statistical methods, such as testing whether the existing research material fits a certain genetic rule and comparing the genetic structures of different populations. The aim of this thesis is to gather and present the statistical methods used in genetic studies. According with this purpose, literatures related to statistical methods used in genetic analyzes were reviewed and presented in a certain order, especially the tests developed to analyze differences within and between populations in terms of certain DNA sequences were emphasized.
