Abstract (EN)

Solid waste problems have become a major problem as a result of factors such as rapid population growth, increased industrial developments, increased production and consumption, and increased urbanization in our country as well as all over the world. The issue of recyclable waste also has an important place in our world, which is faced with problems such as the rapid depletion of our natural resources, the increasing destruction of nature and global warming. These problems continue to increase in size day by day. For this reason, the active, regular and systematic disposal of recyclable waste is an issue that needs to be taken into consideration for the nature we live on and that we will leave to the next generations. The aim of this study is to produce an alternative solution to environmental pollution by making the locations of recycling bins, which are the collection points for recyclable waste, more accessible to people. In this context, a map was created using the location information of recycling points. A mobile application was developed by transferring the created map to appropriate software development programs. The developed mobile application allows the user to access the locations of the recycling bins via smartphones. In this way, we will be able to take a more active role in our part as individuals in the recyclable waste problem, which is a global problem
