Abdominal ultrasonographic evaluation in geriatric cats

In the present study, hematological, biochemical and ultrasonographic findings og 49 geriatric cats were investigated. The groups were evaluated in 3 groups as symptomatic and asemptomatic cases with clinical finding and a control group without any clinical findings. Diagnosis was made in 10 asymptomatic cases and 13 symptomatic cases with ultrasonographic examination. The remaining 26 cases were evaluated as the control group. The data obtained emphasize that annual check-ups of geriatric cats should not be neglected whether they are symptomatic or not.
