Abstract (EN)
The study investigates the usability of eddy currents as a nondestructive testing method in industrial applications. First, the physical principles of eddy currents are studied together with literature search. Then nondestructive testing experiments are made using eddy currents in various material manufacturing processes. The most suitable test techniques for eddy current method are defined and test parameters are optimized for online and offline tube investigation, surface crack detections and material sorting. Test results obtained by using standard eddy current test equipments in various industrial applications are compared to the laboratory results. Some test apparatus are manufactured for laboratory applications
