Abstract (EN)

All private and public owned companies in mining industry rival each other for producing better quality products and services. To achieve these goals they aim to reduce their total expenses. For achieve this goal they schedule the workforce requirements more efficiently.In this study workforce planning operations of Tavşanlı ? Tunçbilek open pit mine at Garp Lignite Enterprise (GLI) is investigated.Scheduling of maintenance of power excavators and other equipments for the Tunçbilek open pit mine is modeled as a case study with in workforce tiger programming method. Due to the weekly scheduling of maintenance operations for power excavators, trucks and dozers, the number of operators for these equipments and maneuvering personals change daily.LINDO software package is used to develop the mathematical program. Annual stripping is increased at 9 % with scheduling work force requirements at the mine.Keywords : Workforce Planning, Mathematical Programming, Open Pit Mine, LINDO.
