Abstract (EN)

Migrant entrepreneurship has the potential to transform migrants' lives. Through entrepreneurship, migrants can create jobs for themselves and others, provide valuable goods and services to their communities, and build a sense of belonging and purpose. However, the entrepreneurial path is fraught with challenges. Refugees face significant barriers such as capital, education and language barriers, and starting and managing a business in a new country can be challenging. Despite these challenges, success stories of migrant entrepreneurs are also common. For example, migrants have established successful businesses in sectors such as food, hospitality, technology and fashion. By supporting migrant entrepreneurship, we can unlock the potential of migrants to contribute to local economies and help them create positive change in their communities. Although migrant entrepreneurship has been in the world literature for a long time, it has only found a field of study in the last decade due to the intense wave of migration in our country after the Syrian war. These studies have been on Syrians, but no studies have been conducted on Ukrainian citizens, including migrants who came to our country to seek refuge after the Ukraine-Russia war that started in 2022. This study consists of an analysis of how Ukrainian migrant entrepreneurial women see entrepreneurship as a tool for their socio-economic integration into the society they migrated to. As a result of the surveys conducted on migrant women entrepreneurs, it is aimed to map their entrepreneurial tendencies.
