Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to follow the healing of extraction sockets of impected mandibular third molars with the color analysis method by the computer system. This study performed 20 patients with mandibular impected third molars. 9 of the patients were men and 11 of them were women and their ages were variable at 18 to 46. To measure the new formation of the bone and to follow the healing process, the digital panoramic radiographies taken at the operation day, first week, 1st, 3rd, 6th months and all the radiographies were evaluated with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 programme with color analysis method. As the result of this study we observed that the quantity of bone density increased in the 1st week, 1st, 3rd and 6th months graphies. And in every period of healing it was closed to normal bone density. In this study, the use of the digital panoramic radiographies with digital color separation analysis technic is an optimal method for the evaluation for following the bone healing, because they are non-invasive, easily keeping the information and also economic. Therefore, the digital panoramic radiographies may use for the following of bone healing in the clinics.
