Abstract (EN)
This study investigates the body as a consumption commodity in the visual culture of consumer society through music video clips. The study is divided into three main chapters and consumer society with the concept of symbolic consumption is discussed firstly. In the second chapter, the study focuses on the body and its functions in the consumer society. In the last chapter, 6 Turkish music videos which were broadcasted for the first time between 2003-2006, are analyzed.
