Abstract (EN)
The increased field at hot-spots by localization of light brings along nonlinear processes such as second harmonic generation (SHG), four-wave mixing (FWM), and SERS. These processes can be controlled by the proper excitation of plasmon oscillations. Plasmon fields that can be controlled using Fano resonances (FR) have a very important place in quantum plasmonic applications. With the FR that emerges in the model system obtained using nanoparticle and quantum object, linear and nonlinear processes can be both increased and suppressed by the selection of the appropriate quantum object (quantum point, molecule or defect center, etc.). In this proposed project, quantum plasmonic applications will be realized for the first time by using "Group IV Metal Nitrides" and it will be investigated whether it is possible to control the enhancement/suppression of plasmonic processes. In the proposed model systems, it is aimed to provide Raman signal enhancement of the molecule without increasing the hot-spot density. For each of the models, the equations of motion of the respective systems are defined through the Heisenberg equations. The solution of the equations of motion for the model system with a quantum emitter contains time-dependent solutions, while the solutions for the model system without a quantum emitter are solved in a time-independent manner. Steady-state amplitudes for the Stokes-shifted Raman mode are obtained for both model systems. In addition to quantum plasmonic applications, far-field and near-field calculations of Group IV Nitrides will be performed in this thesis. The calculation results will be compared with gold, the most commonly used plasmonic material. Simulation calculations will be performed using the MATLAB-based MNPBEM toolbox, which realizes the plasmonic properties of nanoparticles based on the BEM calculation scheme.
