Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the allele and haplotype frequencies of 17 Y-STR loci in Southeastern Anatolia population and investigate the genetic relationships between populations by analyzing the haplotype data present in Y Chromosome Haplotype Reference Database (YHRD). Y-STR loci were amplified in DNA samples isolated from peripheral blood by using AmpFlSTR® Yfiler? PCR kit and genotyping was done by ABI PRISM® 3130 Genetic Analyzer. ?GeneMapper Software v. 3.2? (Applied Biosystems, FosterCity, CA, USA) and Arlequin (Version 3.5) programmes were used for the analysis of the data. As a result, 79 different haplotypes were observed in 86 indivuals, the haplotype diversity for all loci and discrimination capacity (DC) were calculated as 0.99 and 0.92, respectively. The haplotype data for different populations present in YHRD were analysed together with the result of this study and the lowest genetic distance value was found between Southeastern Anatolia population and Iranian populations. Keywords: Y-STR, Southeastern Anatolia, polymorphism, genetic distance
