Abstract (EN)
68 8. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of physical and performance factors in the wrestlers on blood pressure. 40 sportsmen whose ages are between 18 and 30 and who actively and voluntarily took part in wrestling events at the highest level in Tedaş Sport Club, ASKI Sport Club, Şeker Sport Club, Jandarma Sport Club, and İller Bank Sport Club in Ankara. The arithmetic average (X), Standard difference (SD), minimal and maximal (range) values of the measurements were determined in the study. When comparing physical and anthropometric measurements with the results of systolic and diastolic pressure, "p" values (P<0.01 and P<0.05) were determined according to "f ' values by administering Tukey test according to Anova test results; the relationship between the physical and anthrpometric structure and blood pressure was calculated with correlation coefficient; and PO.01 and PO.05 was considered as significance level. After determining the statistical distribution of the results of descriptive data (t) and fractional distribution, we looked into the normal and cross relations. Regarding the average of the skin fold, the difference between 1-2 and 2-3 groups was found significant (P>0.01 and 0.05) while the difference between the average of 1-2 groups was statistically insignificant. Regarding the length measurements, it was observed that there were statistical differences in bust lengths between 1-2, 1-3, and 2-3 groups, and in different parameters among different groups. Regarding the average of calibre measurements of the sportsmen, there was significant difference (P>0.01 and 0.05) between 1-3 and 2-3 groups there was not a significant difference between 1-2 groups. Regarding the peripheral average of the measurements of the sportsmen there was significant difference in different parameters between 1-2, 1-3, and 2-3 groups (P>0.01 and 0.05) When the pulse rates, systolic pressure and diastolic pressure in the rest before and after training, and competitions were compared, it was determined that there was some statistically significant differences (PO.01 and 0.05)69 When the value relationship between physical and anthropometric structures and the blood pressure of the wrestlers (from light, medium, and heavy weights) was investigated, it was found that there was negative relationship (P<0.01 - 0.05) in some parameters and positive relationship in some others. The people with hypertension are especially advised to go in for sporting events, but they should be banned from strenuous sporting events that cause instantaneous tiredness like wrestling and weightlifting. Some sports are not suggested for the people with hypertension while some other kinds are suggestable. Key Words: Wrestlers, Blood pressure, Anthropometry
