Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to illustrate the economic and social structure of Sungurlu town. The main source of the study is the Temettuat Registers dates H. 1260 - 1261/ M. 1844 - 1845. The study has three parts and the result parts. In the introduction part, brief history of Sungurlu town, the importance of Temettuat Registers were explained. In the first part, the social structure of Sungurlu, the characteristics of the population living in this town, the names used by the heads of households, professions, titles and nicknames were studied. In the Second Part, agricultural and animal husbandry activities were examined in Sungurlu town. The third part focuses on Sungurlu's economic structure and gives information about the incomes of the head of the household and the taxes taken from the head of the household. In the conclusion section, an overall evaluation of the study was made.
