Abstract (EN)

The study aimed to determine the effect of using infographic design on the viewers of Al Jazeera news channel in Iraq. This study relied on the quantitative approach by distributing a survey to collect data from Iraqi audiences. The researcher used random sampling method and the survey was distributed through social networking sites. The researcher used descriptive analytics, correlation analysis, and regression to examine the relationship between variables. The researcher reached important results thanks to the study in which he found that there was a statistically significant positive relationship between the use of infographics in news display and the increase in viewing of the news channel. It can be said that media organizations make news attractive by using different forms of news perception. The assumption is that these visualizations can not only increase the audience but also help the news consumer understand complex information. However, there is little empirical information on the validity of news perceptions on television channels. According to the results of the regression table, the features of entertainment, reliability and informative infographics had a statistically significant effect on the trend, while when the regression took place, we saw that the features of the infographics other than entertainment had a statistically significant effect on the cognitive effects. The value reached 0.629, which shows that the independent variable explains 62.9% of the variance in the dependent variable.
