Abstract (EN)

All kinds of traditions, customs oral literature products that distinguish a nation from other societies are cultural heritage that determine the existence of that nation, prove its existence and need to be protected. The task of preserving and transmitting this heritage is supported by folklore studies that have been and are being carried out. People's lifestyles have changed in time and taken on different styles with technological developments. With folklore, the traditions, customs and lifestyles of societies were recorded and these elements were transferred to future generations. Bringing these values, which are learned spontaneously from the living environment, to a level that appeals to children is possible with cartoons and productions suitable for them. Today, cartoons watched using technological devices such as televisions, computers, tablets and phones not only enable children to have a pleasant and productive time, but also contain many functions. The aim of this study is to transfer cultural values that are included in a cartoon and in the scope of folklore. This study includes folklore items such as chilren's games, festivals, folk cusine, folk arts and crafts, folk medicine, folk literature, folk teather, folk music that finds place in a cartoon Niloya based on a child character's life. These cultural values in Niloya cartoon which includes almost all of the folk items mentioned above are presented by content analysis. Data gathered by literature review are evaluanalysis data analysis. How production is disgraded to children's capacity and what kind of reflections does it leave on children's minds is reviewed in this study. Being rich in folklore items Niloya cartoon plays an important role in terms of the transferrance of cultural heritage to younger generations.
