Abstract (EN)

Nuclear danger is obtained by utilizing the energy released when nuclear materials (uranium, plutonium, etc.) break apart (fission) or combine (fusion) of two atoms; Expresses the release of destructive pressure stress, lethal radiation and high heat. Radiation release may occur as a result of accidents that may occur in facilities where radioactive materials are kept. Natural disasters (earthquake, flood, tsunami, etc.) are among the causes of accidents occurring in these facilities. In such a situation that can affect a very large area, some vital plans should be made, such as cutting off the radioactive mission, preventing it and preventing the radiation effect. The success of this situation, which concerns the actions that are planned and need to be implemented in a very short time and with limited opportunities, depends on the actions in the pre-disaster preparation stage. In this study, first of all, disaster types, radiation types and the effects of radiation on living things, nuclear and radiological hazards, nuclear and radioactive wastes in some countries and the management of these wastes and the risks they pose were evaluated in terms of Turkey. There lease of radioactive wastes to the environment is in the regions where these elements are mostly used in medicine, nuclear power plants and nuclear ,weapons.
