Abstract (EN)
Power transformers are one of the most expensive and indispensable elements ofthe energy systems. These equipment face different types of faults, andsometimes cause costly and vital losses in the power system. It is a fact that modernised versions of differential relays still keep theirimportance in the transformer protection. The most important reason of this isthe merging of the widening application of the digital signal processing technicsand improved microprocessors, the programmable logic controller (such asPLC) in the design of differential relays. In this work, the differential protection methods, effect of magnetising currentand its harmonic components are investigated in detail. And this study is used inthe realisation of a prototype differential relay using Hall effect devices as thecurrent sensors.Science Code : 905Key Words : Differential Relay, Hall-Effect DevicePage Number : 184Adviser : Yrd.
