In this study, birth, marriage, death customs and related folk beliefs; holidays, ceremonies and celebrations, folk medicine, folklore, folk cuisine, sports, entertainment and children's games have been researched. This study, named "Hatay Province Dörtyol Dıstrıct Folk Culture Research", consists of seven chapters and sub-titles related to them. In this study, folk beliefs and practices belonging to the Dörtyol region were integrated and classified in the light of the information obtained from written and oral sources, with the observation method. During the study, the region-specific traditions and beliefs identified in the research area were examined in comparison with the accumulation of Turkish culture with the change and development processes that started before Islam. In addition, the place, similarities and differences of the local culture in Anatolian culture have been revealed. In this research in the Dörtyol region, it has been determined that folk culture beliefs and practices carry traces of Turkish culture spread over wide geographies for centuries. At the end of the study, a dictionary of local words reflecting the dialect characteristics of the local people and photographs introducing the region are included.
